Newsflash: Gerd Serrasolses wins 1st qualifying run
Spaniard Gerd Serrasolses was the fastest paddler in the first qualification run of the adidas Sickline Extreme Kayak World Championship this morning. With an impressive lead of 2 seconds the adidas Sickline team rider took the lead ahead of two former slalom world champions: his team mate Fabian Dörfler (GER) on second and Julien Billaut (FRA) on third.
The race ended surprisingly early for German top whitewater kayaker Markus Hummel, who messed up his first run and thought everyone would get a second chance. He forgot that only the top 100 advance to the second run and finished on 110th place.
