Steve Fisher commentates Live Broadcast
No less than kayak legend and RedBull athlete Steve Fisher himself, whom many consider to be the best all-round paddler in the world, will commentate the live broadcast of the adidas Sickline World Championship on Freecaster.tv. Known for his fierce ability to discover and ride some of the world’s largest standing waves, the South African has also run over 400 rivers worldwide including dozens of first decents. Steve enjoyed commentating the Sickline live-show so much last year, that he decided to come back. This year, he sponsor RedBull will also provide a rider lounge for the participating athletes.
Freecaster.tv and 11 countries broadcast Sickline Worlds live
Due to the high demand of various TV stations to cover the adidas Sickline World Championship realtime, the organisers have decided once again to run a full HD live production this year. The production format also allows for a global live webcast in collaboration with Freecaster.tv. In addition, 11 countries take the live signal of the Extreme Kayak World Championship: Ma Chaine Sport (France, Luxemburg, Belgium), Sportklub (Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia, Romania, Croatia), Star TV (Switzerland, live delayed) and Orf Sport plus (Austria, live summery).

Miss Tirol 2009 resides again in Whirlpool Hot Seat
18-year old Christina Keil from Oetz, Miss Tirol 2009, will once again keep the leading kayakers in the final company in their hot seat. The final of the Top 15 will take place on Saturday, October 2nd between 13h00 and 14h00. The finalists will start in reverse order, meaning the kayaker with the slowest race time in the semi final will be the first to start. Afterwards he will climb into the ‚Softub-Whirlpool’, the throne of the fastest athlete. Alongside beautiful Christina Keil, he can relax until his time has been beaten. If a finalist is faster, he can dethrone the race leader. The athlete who is still chilling in 38-degree warm water at the end, will be the well-deserved world champion.
